While Lida respects all the different definitions and ways of being an 'artist', her own definition of the term is a vocation which includes social responsibility. The social impact of an artist's art is subject to history, however Lida tries to make sure that she uses her talent in the service of the highest good for everyone's benefit. Thus she gives several volunteer services to the international community in the following four sectors:
